The expectations of electric car users have grown in recent years: users want charging to be quick, simple and reliable, whether they are at home, at work or on the road. Until now, however, different charging needs were handled by separate applications – a home charging app in one place, an employer’s solution in another, and public charging in a third.
Enefit has taken a step forward and brought these journeys together into a single solution.
Introducing Enefit Charge – a new app for charging at home and at work
Enefit Charge is a new mobile app for all our customers who charge their electric cars at home or at work. It will gradually replace the existing Enefit Volt Home app.
Enefit Charge offers an improved user experience, greater flexibility and reliable performance from day one, and is designed to support your entire electric car charging journey in the future.
What’s new?
- Seamless charging experience at home and at work. The app is no longer limited to home charging. If your employer uses Enefit’s charging solution, you can also charge at work using the same app. This ensures your car is always charged efficiently and at the right time, wherever you are. In the new app, you can choose the most suitable charging times using scheduled profiles and decide how you want to start the charging session. The smart charging feature helps to reduce your charging costs even more.
- Manage multiple chargers in one place. If you have multiple chargers at home or at work, you can now manage them conveniently in the app – set up your chargers and track your charging habits in your charging history. If you wish, you can also share access to your charger with friends or guests via the Charger Portal.
- A more stable and future-proof platform. The new solution is technically designed to handle higher loads, better supporting the needs of both home and business customers, while creating a solid foundation for a unified e-mobility ecosystem.
Switching to the new app – what you need to do
To continue using your charger, you need to activate your account in the new portal.
We will send you an email with a personal activation link. Open the link and log in using Mobile-ID, Smart-ID or your ID card. Activating your account links it to your charger, ensuring that the charger in the new portal belongs to you.
Important to know
- Chargers will be linked to the person who opens the activation link. The linking will occur provided the account has been activated.
- If the account is not activated within the given time, we will contact you and help you complete the process.
- Once the charger has been transferred to the new portal, it can no longer be used with the old app.
The transfer of customers to the new app will continue until the end of the year, at which point we will also retire the current Enefit Volt Home app.
How to start charging?
There are several options to start charging:
- Use a charging card as before.
- As a new option, log in to our Charging Portal and press the Start button in the charger view.
- Start charging using the new charging app, available in the App Store or Google Play.
The portal allows you to view and manage all settings related to your charger(s) conveniently. Additional features will be added over time.
Help us improve – give us your feedback
The launch of Enefit Charge is part of a wider change: Enefit Volt as a brand is evolving and will gradually be integrated into Enefit’s unified e-mobility platform.
