Important news for apartment associations! EIC will soon open funding for setting up charging infrastructure – and Enefit is there to help you

The number of electric vehicles in Estonia is growing rapidly, but many apartment associations are faced with the question: how to provide residents with a convenient, affordable and future-proof charging solution?

The good news is that state support will soon be available to help apartment associations finance the installation of charging infrastructure. Even better news: with Enefit, you get a complete solution – from consultation to after-sales service.

What does this support measure entail?

The grant is provided by the Ministry of Climate and distributed by the Environmental Investment Centre (EIC). The support measure is intended for apartment associations and local governments for setting up electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

You can apply for support for installing up to 20 charging points. This enables covering at least 60% of the investment, including the costs related to design, construction, load distribution, purchasing of equipment and increasing electrical connection capacity.

What should apartment associations keep in mind?

Although the call for applications is not yet open, now is the right time to start preparing. In order to successfully apply for the grant, the following terms and conditions should be taken into account.

  • Location: apartment associations located outside Tartu and Tallinn (city areas) are eligible to apply for the grant.
  • Parking spaces: the apartment association must have at least 10 parking spaces.
  • Price quote: to apply for the grant, it is required to submit a price quote outlining the planned solution and cost.
  • Dynamic load distribution: the charging infrastructure to be built must include a solution that ensures network stability and allows multiple cars to be charged simultaneously without overload.
  • Use of renewable energy: chargers installed with the support of the grant must use renewable energy. In addition, the collection and reporting of charging data must be ensured for at least five years.

How can Enefit help?

Enefit is your reliable partner who makes the entire process of setting up charging infrastructure simple and hassle-free.

  • The one-stop-shop for a full service: we support you throughout the entire process – from consultation and developing a solution that meets the requirements of the support measure, to installation and maintenance.
  • We ensure green energy: the terms and conditions of the support measure require that chargers must use renewable energy. At Enefit, we not only supply green energy, but also produce it ourselves.
  • A future-proof solution: chargers installed using the support measure must remain in use for at least five years. Thus it is important to choose a reliable partner who will be there for you even after the project is completed.
  • Added value for the apartment association: the availability of charging facilities increases the attractiveness of the building on the real estate market, and the use of green energy supports the apartment association’s positive image.

High-speed internet, two shovels and Midsummer Day – why does it all matter to me

Hello! I am Inge, the new head of private customer services at Enefit. My job is to make sure our services are easy to understand, simple to access and fairly priced – but more than anything, that they genuinely support people in their everyday lives. To show that these are not just words, I want to share a personal experience from before I joined Enefit. It is a story about setting up high-speed internet at a summer home, but also about trust, decisions and what it really means when a service works the way it should.
