If we were to choose a keyword that would describe Enefit’s public charging service in 2025, it would be growth. The amount of energy charged, the number of chargers and the ease of use and reliability of the service all increased. The community, technological capabilities and our courage to set ever greater goals also grew.
Over the course of the year, more than 5,000 MWh of energy was charged in our home markets – nearly twice as much as the previous year. This amount could supply electricity to more than 1,650 Estonian homes for a full year, or allow travel of approximately 25 million kilometres, which is equivalent to 625 trips around the globe.
The number of chargers also increased: our public charging network surpassed 1,600 charging connectors, representing an approximate 40% growth over the year. Of these, 34 chargers were rapid chargers built with support from the Connecting Europe Facility – the most powerful chargers in our network, capable of adding around 100 km of range in just 10 minutes.
Let’s take a closer look at the most significant developments of the year in each market.
Charging in Estonia became easier, faster and more user-friendly – around the clock
In 2025, the public charging network of Estonia made a quality leap: the number of charging sessions increased, the network expanded and the service became more seamless. New chargers were added in cities as well as in areas with lower coverage, including health trails. In total, we will establish 29 charging points at 12 health trails across Estonia, linking an active lifestyle and electric mobility in a more natural way than before.
Over the course of the year, several new features were added to make daily charging more convenient:
- payment by bank card;
- automatic charging start, ie Autocharge;
- removal of the night-time tariff for chargers up to 100 kW, ensuring a more stable price and making charging more accessible even for those without a home charger.
We ended the year with a landmark innovation: we opened the first battery-equipped charger in the Baltics within our public network, which helps ensure charging availability during power outages and in areas with limited network capacity. This is an important step towards future charging solutions.
In Latvia, the focus was on community and growing usage
For Latvia, 2025 was special thanks to activities aimed at the community. The year’s highlight, the Enefit EV Rally, brought together nearly 200 participants and 50 teams.
During the rally, all public chargers offered a 20% discount, encouraging both new and experienced electric car users to charge. The grand prize – €1,000 of charging credit – clearly demonstrated the practicality of electric cars: with this amount, it is possible to drive approximately 13,500 kilometres, ie almost three times from Tallinn to Rome and back.
In Lithuania, the year was marked by rapid development and new opportunities in the capital
In Lithuania, 2025 was particularly growth-oriented. The public network of Enefit reached the milestone of more than 600 charging connectors, an important step toward better regional coverage.
The four new rapid chargers installed in Vilnius significantly improved both intra-city travel and the planning of longer journeys. Charging speed is gradually approaching that of traditional refuelling, but with a much smaller environmental footprint.
Paying for charging also became more convenient: in most stations, it is possible to pay by bank card, reducing reliance on mobile apps. Just one tap and charging starts.
For Poland, the year brought strategic locations and growing consumption
Poland experienced significant expansion and improved reliability in 2025. One of the most important events was the launch of charging services at Omni shopping centres.
However, the year’s strategic highlight was the partnership with Riviera Gallery, the largest shopping centre in northern Poland, where Enefit won the right to develop the charging infrastructure. This strengthens our position in one of Europe’s fastest-growing electric car markets.
Charging reliability was remarkable, at nearly 99%, and the option to pay by bank card was also added. The steadily growing consumption confirms that Polish customers consider Enefit’s charging solutions a reliable part of their everyday mobility.
The new year brings new goals
From the perspective of our public charging network, 2025 was a truly successful year: more chargers, more energy, more innovative technology and more people using electric charging on a daily basis.
Every charge in our network means fewer emissions, cleaner air and a step toward a greener future.
Exciting developments lie ahead, but our goal remains the same: to make electric car charging a simple and natural choice, available at any time and regardless of location. Thank you for being part of this journey with us!
