What is Autocharge?
Autocharge is an innovative charging method now available at Enefit chargers across Estonia. When you start charging, the charger automatically identifies your car based on its MAC ID.
Once you have activated Autocharge in your Enefit account, all you need to do next time is connect the charging cable. Within a few seconds, charging begins automatically, without opening the app or using a charging card.
Everything happens automatically: the system recognises the car, starts charging and completes the payment. You can simply sit in your car and watch the kilometres add up.

1. How exactly does Autocharge work?
If you’re already a customer of Enefit’s public charging service and have registered your account, you can activate Autocharge directly in the app while at a charger that supports this feature. You can see whether Autocharge is available on the charger’s screen.
If you’re not yet a customer, download the Enefit Volt app from the App Store or Google Play. In the app, you can:
- find the nearest chargers,
- create and set up your account,
- manage charging sessions.
After creating your account, you can activate Autocharge at a charger that supports it. From then on, simply connecting the charging cable is enough – charging will start automatically.
2. Where and with which cars does Autocharge work?
You can conveniently use Autocharge:
- at all new fast and ultra-fast DC chargers with a CCS connector,
- with electric cars that have a unique and static MAC ID.

3. How can you tell that Autocharge is working?
It’s easy to tell when Autocharge is active – if everything happens automatically, it means it’s working. You can also see whether Autocharge is available on the charger’s screen.
If you’ve previously registered your car and activated Autocharge, all you need to do when you arrive at the charger is connect the cable. Within a few seconds, charging will start automatically, a message will appear on the charger’s screen, and a new charging session will be displayed in the app.
If charging doesn’t start, you can always start it in the usual way – with a charging card or through the app. This may indicate that Autocharge is not activated for this vehicle or that the specific charger doesn’t support this feature. When using it for the first time, we recommend monitoring the process to make sure the system is functioning properly.
