This autumn, companies have the opportunity to apply for Agricultural Registers and Information Board’s Food Industry Investment Support, which can cover up to 50% of the costs of installing solar and battery solutions. Enefit will be by your side throughout the entire process – from the preliminary assessment to system commissioning and after-sales service.
This is an excellent opportunity to shorten the payback period of the investment and increase the company’s energy independence. Mikk Tootsi, Enefit’s Energy Services Sales Manager, says: ‘We don’t just provide equipment – we help design and implement a complete solution that meets the conditions of the support measure and delivers maximum economic value to the company.’
Steps for applying for support
Although the ARIB process may at first seem bureaucratic, it is entirely manageable with a clear action plan:
- Collect the necessary data. You will need last year’s energy consumption statement, preliminary design drawings and a design note.
- Organise the procurement procedure.
- If the estimated cost of the project is between €20,000 and €60,000, you must request at least three comparable quotations.
- If the investment exceeds €60,000, you must carry out a formal procurement procedure in the Public Procurement Register.
- Submit the application by 15 October 2025.
- Implement the project. Install the solution, comply with ARIB requirements and submit the necessary reports and cost documents.
Enefit is ready to support you at every stage – from planning and installation to reporting.
How we can help:
- Energy consumption analysis. We identify the optimal solution for your company’s consumption that meets ARIB conditions.
- Technical solution and preliminary design. We prepare the necessary documentation in accordance with the Building Code and ARIB requirements.
- Procurement procedure consulting. We help prepare the technical specifications and justify the choice to ensure the most cost-effective solution.
- Installation and commissioning. We ensure the system operates efficiently from day one.
- Training and after-sales service. We provide comprehensive user instructions and keep the solution in good working order even after installation.
Content and conditions of the support
The ARIB application round is open from 27 August to 15 October 2025. The aim of the measure is to strengthen the competitiveness of Estonia’s food industry and to support the achievement of environmental and climate objectives.
Support can be applied for, among other things, in the following cases:
- the development of construction works or the purchase of equipment necessary to meet environmental and climate objectives;
- the creation of solutions that increase energy security of supply.
In the case of solar and battery solutions, support is available for the development of construction works and equipment necessary for solar electricity production, provided that the system includes a storage unit. The production and storage capacity may not exceed the company’s annual self-consumption, and the battery must receive at least 75% of its energy directly from the production plant.
You can find more detailed conditions on the ARIB website and in the measure regulation.
