When it comes to new buildings, a beautiful fa\u00e7ade or Scandinavian-style interior is no longer sufficient. A truly modern and forward-looking urban space must also support different modes of transport and make sustainable choices easy for users. <\/strong><\/p>

A decade ago, energy-efficient buildings and electric cars were considered a luxury. Today, they have become the norm. Taking environmentally friendly modes of transport and activities into account has become a natural part of urban planning. A prime example of modern urban planning is the Arter Quarter in the heart of Tallinn, to which Enefit also contributed. <\/p>

In co-operation with Enefit, two 80 kW fast chargers for electric cars were installed in the multi-storey car park of the Quarter for public use. Additionally, 20 parking spaces in the employee parking area are equipped with 24-hour electric vehicle charging facilities. Since the Arter Quarter is powered entirely by renewable energy, electric vehicles are also charged with green electricity. <\/p>

\u2018By promoting the use of electric vehicles, it is possible to reduce the carbon footprint of the building and support sustainable choices in everyday mobility,\u2019 noted Raido Rosenberg, Head of Sustainability at AS Kapitel, the company developing the Arter Quarter.<\/p>

Enefit as a strategic partner<\/strong><\/p>

When developing the charging solutions, it was important that the system integrated with the technical infrastructure of the Quarter, maintained the parking layout and could be reconfigured if necessary. \u2018When it came to selecting a partner, Enefit was chosen due to our previous positive experience working together and their technical capabilities,\u2019 said Raido Rosenberg. \u2018We were not just looking for a service provider, but for a partner who understood the technical specifics of our building and shared our vision.\u2019 <\/p>

The completed solution is reliable, user-friendly and can be expanded in the future if needed \u2013 without compromising the parking layout or the reliability of the electricity network of the building.<\/p>

As a partner, Enefit\u2019s role was not limited to just equipment installation. \u201cThe process involved planning, consulting, and technical calculations throughout the entire development,\u201d described Viljar Kont, Head of Enefit\u2019s e-mobility solutions in Estonia. \u201cWe arrived at a user-friendly solution that works flawlessly even in large and complex situations,\u201d Kont added. Projects like these serve as examples for the implementation and achievement of broader sustainability goals. <\/p>

User-friendliness supports sustainable choices<\/strong><\/p>

The charging infrastructure of Enefit is not a standalone feature but part of a holistically designed environment that brings together renewable energy, smart planning and sustainable thinking.<\/p>

In addition to offering a diverse work and leisure environment and support for electric vehicles, the Quarter also features Estonia\u2019s largest bicycle parking facility, with 105 spaces and a dedicated bicycle washing and maintenance area.
