Over the next ten years, Enefit will be responsible for the maintenance and management of the entire street lighting network, allowing the municipality to focus on other key aspects of local life.  <\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The reconstruction of the street lighting in Kehtna rural municipality was recently completed, during which Enefit replaced 1,122 luminaires. The smartly controlled, energy-efficient solution is remotely operated and functions according to a dimming schedule \u2013 the streets are moderately lit and safe even at night.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ca17964294505de033662a45957c4e61\" style=\"color:#2b2e36\"><strong>Sustainable and convenient solution<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Enefit is providing the rural municipality with a full-service street lighting solution, taking responsibility over the next ten years for all management and maintenance services, repairs, electricity costs and Christmas lighting. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The new street lighting operates 100% on electricity produced from renewable energy sources, saving nearly 300 tonnes of CO\u2082 per year and thereby significantly contributing to the rural municipality\u2019s climate plan. The new luminaires consume 4.5 times less electricity compared to the old ones.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2e905808024094352c97e9cfaf9857e4\" style=\"color:#2b2e36\"><strong>Smart and remotely controlled network<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The luminaires can be controlled and dimmed as needed and in accordance with the dimming schedule. The system also notifies of luminaire faults \u2013 enabling Enefit to ensure high-quality operation of the lighting and prompt resolution of any issues.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-0ce90c5daebe138772649611b8bab070\" style=\"color:#2b2e36\"><strong>Entrust certain tasks to a partner<\/strong> <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Tanel Viks, Kehtna rural municipality mayor, it is important to make calculated choices about how to use the municipality\u2019s financial resources wisely and to decide which tasks to carry out in-house and which to trust to partners. \u2018With the new full-service street lighting solution, the rural municipality is now brighter, and all street lighting matters are taken care of on our behalf.
